2013: McDermott was second on the team in wins, ERA, starts and complete games. She was 11th in the GLIAC in innings pitched. At the NCAA regional tournament, McDermott was 2-2, posting wins over Wayne State (9-1) and Lewis (7-0).

2012: As a freshman, McDermott was AU's second starter behind Emlyn Knerem. She was 10th in the conference in strikeouts and tied for 10th in wins. McDermott was second on the team in wins, appearances and innings.

High School: In three seasons at Norwayne McDermott logged 730 strikeouts. She had eight no-hitters and three perfect games.  As a junior she had 15 shutouts and 309 strikeouts. As a senior, she played on a team that won a district championship and was a regional runner-up.  McDermott was named first team All-Ohio her senior year. She was a two-time, first team All-Wayne County Athletic League and all-district choice. McDermott was also named the WCAL’s most valuable player as a junior and senior.  She lettered in softball four times and in basketball once.

Personal: McDermott is the daughter of Brad and Yolanda McDermott.  She is a biology/chemistry major and was named to the 2013 GLIAC All-Academic Excellence Team (3.49 GPA or higher).
