The National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) has released its annual list of all-american scholar athletes and no surprise a whole host of AU softball athletes were included in the distinction.
AU softball ended the 2013-14 season with a stellar 3.41 grade point average. Nine Eagles were recognized with all-american status. Those nine include Sarah Alley, Ally Farrah, Shelbie Prince, Jamie Weber, Kayla Prokopakis, Cayla Seidler, Jenny Raguz, Alexis Lee, and Amber McDermott.
The NFCA scholar all-american designation goes to any athlete who achieves a 3.5 grade point average or better during the academic school year.
