Ashland University senior center fielder Taylor Menhart is the first Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Softball Player of the Week for the 2015 season.
In 12 games on the Eagles' 11-1 Florida trip, Menhart hit a team-high .500 (18-for-36) and paced AU with three home runs and 16 RBIs. She also collected a double and three triples, scored 14 runs and drew eight walks.
Menhart had four games with at least three RBIs, as well as six multi-hit contests.
The Eagles are scheduled to begin the northern portion of their 2015 schedule on Saturday (March 14) in a doubleheader at Cedarville at 1 p.m.
