Rain Once Again Forces Move Of Home Doubleheader

Ashland University's softball team is hoping the third time is the charm in the way of a home Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference doubleheader against Hillsdale.

The Eagles and Chargers originally were slated to play on Wednesday (April 8) at Brookside Park. Then, they were set to play on Friday (April 10), but rain has forced a second postponement. Ashland and Hillsdale are set to match up on Thursday (April 16) at 3:30 p.m. at Brookside.

The schedule change gives the Eagles three straight home twinbills against the Chargers, Tiffin (April 19) and Findlay (April 21) in a six-day span.

AU's next scheduled contests are on Saturday (April 11) at 1 p.m. (moved back from noon) at Brookside in a doubleheader against Lake Erie. Ashland is 23-5 overall, 8-4 in the GLIAC and 5-3 at home, while the Storm is 7-13 overall, 1-7 in the conference and 7-11 in road/neutral-site games.
