Eagles Ranked Season-Best 20th In D-II Going Into GLIAC Tourney

Ashland University's softball team keep climbing the Division II ladder, as the Eagles are ranked a season-best No. 20 in this week's National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) poll, released on Wednesday (April 29).

The Eagles are 36-6 overall, and have had winning streaks of 12 and 11 games during the regular season. Ashland moved up one spot in the NFCA poll from the previous week.

AU is the No. 2 seed in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Tournament, and its first opponent will be Findlay on Friday (May 1) at noon at Marathon Diamonds in Findlay, Ohio.

Ashland is the only GLIAC team in the latest Top 25 poll.
