Ashland University senior left-handed pitcher Sarah Alley is the Week 7 Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Softball Pitcher of the Week.
Alley pitched in all four Eagle games last week, going 3-1 with a 0.71 earned run average in 19 2/3 innings. She struck out 18, walked four and allowed just 16 hits in the week, which included two wins in 9 2/3 scoreless frames against Lake Superior State in Xenia, Ohio, on Saturday (April 9).
Alley ranks in a tie for fourth in the GLIAC in wins in 2016 with nine, and is tied for fifth in the league in strikeouts with 75.
The Eagles (17-16 overall, 7-5 GLIAC) will play on Tuesday (April 12) at 3:30 p.m. at Tiffin (19-10, 4-3).
