Eagles Come Up Empty At Wayne State

            Both Ashland University swimming and diving teams came up on the short end of the score on Friday (Nov. 18) at Wayne State.

            The AU women lost to the Warriors, 147-87.  The WSU men defeated the Eagles, 143-94.

            For the women, junior Julie Widmann (Littleton, Colo./Heritage) finished first in the 50 freestyle (24.05) and was part of the winning 200 free relay (1:37.00).  Senior Maura Anderson (Lakewood, Ohio) was first in the 200 breaststroke (2:26.63).

            Junior Tyler Remmel (Hubertus, Wis./Hertford Union) won the 200 breaststroke (2:14.71) and was on the 200 medley that was first in 1:35.18.

            Next up for the Eagles is the Eastern Michigan Invitational on Dec. 2-3.
