Ashland University's Tyler Remmel (Hubertus, Wis./Hertford Union) competed in the prelims of the 100 breaststroke on Monday (June 25) at the United States Swimming and Diving Olympic Trials in Omaha, Neb.
Remmel is the first AU swimmer to qualify for the Trials. He completed his prelim heat in 1:04.78. That did not qualify him for Monday night's semifinals.
Remmel will be a senior at AU in 2012-13.
