Greyhounds Take Two From AU Swimmers

The Ashland University swimming and diving teams ran into a difficult foe Saturday (Nov. 3) at Indianapolis. The Greyhounds swept the Eagles - the Indy men won, 158-96 and the Greyhound women prevailed, 161-92.

For the AU women, junior Sara Reidler (Gahanna, Ohio/Gahanna-Lincoln) placed first in the 100 backstroke (1:00.10). She was on two victorious relays - the 200  medley (1:48.13) and 200 free (1:37.75).

Freshman Beth Long (Upper Arlington, Ohio) won the gold medal in the 100 breaststroke (1:07.77) and was on the 200 medley relay.  Senior Rachael Ausdenmoore (Southlake, Texas/Carroll) was on both relays.

For the men, junior Braxton Wright (Lexington, Ohio) won the 100 free (46.47) and was part of the 200 free relay that finished first (1:24.48).

The Eagles will be back in the pool on Nov. 16-17 when they host the AU Invitational.
