AU junior Alex Sheil (Sydney, Australia/Trinity) and the men's 200 free relay put their names into the school record book on Friday (Nov. 16) at Messerly Natatorium on the first day of the AU Invitational.

Sheil set a school record in the 200 IM. His time was 1:49.19.

The 200 free relay hit the touchpads in 1:21.60. That quartet included junior Hueston Holder (Brooklyn, Iowa/Brooklyn-Guerney-Malcom), sophomore Steve Moss (Youngstown, Ohio/Boardman), junior Jacob Miller (Hillard, Ohio/Hillard Davidson) and junior Braxton Wright (Lexington, Ohio).

Wright wore out a path to the awards stand on Friday.  He won the 50 freestyle (20.80) and was part of the 400 medley relay that finished first in 3:18.69.

Sheil was on the 400 medley relay.

In addition to the Eagles, Malone and Wayne State are competing in this event. The Invitational concludes with two sessions on Saturday (Nov. 17).
