2010-2011

While setting personal bests in the 50, 100, 200, 500 free, 100, 200 back, and 100 fly, I got to swim a wide variety and competed at GLIACs while scoring in all of my races.

High School Success

Holder is a three-time state place winner and a four-year state qualifier.  He holds five high school records and is a two-time team MVP.  He was a team captain and a four-year varsity letter winner.

Best Times (Top Events)

My top events were the 100 freestyle, 200 freestyle, 100 backstroke, and 200 backstroke.

Why did you choose Ashland University?

I chose Ashland for a few reasons, four to be exact: the communications program, the swim team, the food, and the coaches.

What is your favorite part of training?

The lifting program is great and has helped improved my times, while the weight pulling in the pool is just as intense and fun.

What was your favorite class you have taken so far and why?

Intro to media tech and operations has been a blast. It’s not only hands on but the campus is your classroom while you roam the university finding things to film and take photos of.

What is your favorite memory at Ashland so far?

Last year at EMU in the 500 free with Corey Wengerd and Sam Rogan, we went 1, 2, 3 in the heat and pretty much tore it up.

Where do you see yourself after graduation?

Probably staying in Ohio and using my connections to get a job I will not only enjoy, but have a career in.
