AU Gets Impressive Performances At Wayne State

The AU swimming and diving team posted a number of strong performances on Saturday (Nov. 16) at Wayne State.

Even though the Ashland women lost, 165-117 and the men stumbled, 174-111, a number of AU swimmers performed well.

Kaylyn Murphy won the 100 freestyle (53.63) and 200 freestyle (1:54.86). She was also part of the 400 free relay that finished first (3:41.35).

Hannah Mattar was first in the 200 breaststroke (2:23.34) and 200 IM (2:11.85).

Megan Schultz took top honors in the 200 backstroke (2:07.19).

For the men, Philipp Sikatzki won the 100 butterfly (49.82) and 100 backstroke (50.19). He was on the 400 free relay that hit the touchpads first (3:12.12).

Lukas Jachno led the field in the 1000 freestyle (10:10.59) and Cody Roller set the pace in the 200 IM (2:03.12).

Next weekend the Eagles will swim at Cleveland State.
