Hannah Mattar is familiar with the national stage.

The junior four-time All-American will make her third trip to nationals, beginning March 10 in Indianapolis, Ind., and will compete in the 200 individual medley, 400 IM, 200 butterfly and 200 breaststroke.

A year ago, Mattar placed third at nationals in the 200 breaststroke, sixth in the 400 IM, eighth in the 200 IM, 11th in the 200 butterfly and was a part of the 400 medley relay that finished in 11th place.

"I am very excited for Hannah qualifying for her third NCAA Championships," said Ashland head coach Derick Roe. "This was the first time she was able to achieve an automatic bid to the championships, and is seeded very well in all four of her events."

The NCAA Division II swimming and diving championships will be March 10-14 from the IU Natatorium.

Mattar will be the lone representative for the Eagles in Indianapolis. However, that doesn't mean the team accolades are done.

The College Swimming Coaches Association of America just recognized the Eagle women for their high marks in the classroom. In the fall 2014 semester, AU posted a team grade point average of 3.17.

"I am very proud of what our ladies were able to accomplish in the classroom this fall," Roe said. "With that being said, we are always looking forward and looking to bigger and better things. I hope to see us build upon this success and continue to climb the NCAA Division II swimming and diving academic rankings."
