Ashland University junior Hannah Mattar is halfway to her personal grand slam.
In Day 2 of the NCAA Division II Swimming and Diving Championships at the IUPUI Natatorium in Indianapolis, Ind., on Thursday (March 12), Mattar earned her second All-American honor in as many days, placing fifth in the women's 400-yard individual medley.
Mattar touched the finish line in 4:19.47. That time was almost a second faster than her third-place preliminary finish of 4:20.31.
Nova Southeastern's Courtney Deveny won the 400 IM in 4:16.63.
On Wednesday (March 11), Mattar earned All-American honors in the 200 IM with a sixth-place finish in 2:01.95.
Mattar will continue her quest for four All-American finishes in four events on Friday (March 13) in the 200 butterfly. Preliminaries begin at 10:30 a.m., with the finals starting at 6 p.m.
