Ashland University's men's and women's swimming and diving teams have been named Scholar All-America Teams by the College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA).
The two Eagle squads are among a record 406 collegiate swimming and diving teams which garnered the Scholar All-America distinction, earned by having a team grade-point average of 3.00 or better in the spring semester.
AU's women had a spring GPA of 3.36, and the Eagle men a 3.07.
Two Ashland swimmers – juniors Hannah Mattar and Sergio Sanchis Peris – earned spots on the 2014-15 Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Swimming and Diving All-Academic Excellence Team (cumulative GPA of 3.50 or better), and four swimmers earned recognition on the All-Academic Team (cumulative GPA of 3.00-3.49).
