Junior Hannah Mattar continues to pile up 2014-15 postseason awards, the latest being a spot on the College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) Scholar All-America team.
Mattar owns a 3.98 cumulative grade-point average in Hospitality Management. She earned three first-team All-America honors, finishing fourth in the 200 breaststroke, fifth in the 400 individual medley and sixth in the 200 IM. Mattar scored enough points by herself at nationals to have the AU women's team place in a tie for 21st nationally.
She also earned 52.5 Learfield Sports Division II Directors' Cup standings points for the Eagle athletic program, helping it to its best-ever finish (second) the all-sports race.
Among other honors Mattar has earned during 2014-15 are first-team Capital One Division II Academic All-America At-Large, Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Women's Swimmer of the Year, Capital One Academic All-District Women's At-Large Team honors in Division II, District 4, and a GLIAC Winter Commissioner's Award.
To be selected to the CSCAA Scholar All-America Team, swimmers and divers must have achieved a grade-point average of 3.50 or higher, and have participated in their respective NCAA/NAIA/NJCAA Swimming and Diving Championships.
