Ashland University senior Kaylyn Murphy is this week's Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Female Swimmer of the Week.
Murphy finished her Messerly Natatorium career with a flourish on Saturday (Jan. 9) against Malone and Urbana, winning four events – the 200-yard medley relay (1:51.87), the 200 freestyle (1:56.59), the 50 free (24.60) and the 100 backstroke (59.43).
The Eagles will return to the water on Saturday (Jan. 16) in a tri-meet at Hillsdale with Saginaw Valley State. It will be Ashland's final competition before the 2016 GLIAC Championships, Feb. 10-13, in Waterford Township, Mich.
