Eagle Swim Teams Win Home Duals Against Dragons

The Ashland University men and women's swim teams won home duals against Tiffin on Saturday (Nov. 19) afternoon.

The Eagle men won, 117-82, and the AU women won, 95-71.

Eagles junior Grace Reichard took first in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 24.64. Junior Michaela Teague earned a victory in the 500 free, finishing in 5:34.35. 

On the men's side, AU sophomores Keegan Goeke, Daniel Callis and Ben Keilholz teamed up with freshman Charles Sutton to win the 200 medley relay in 1:38.30. Junior Christopher Georgiadis won the 100 butterfly with a time of 53.63. Goeke also finished first in the 100-yard backstroke in 54.47.

Junior Ryan Deemer placed first in the 500 free with a time of 4:54.19, and the 800 free relay team of Deemer, Sutton and freshmen Malcolm Doepke and Aaron Bradfield placed first in 7:16.55. 

UP NEXT: The Ashland swim teams travel to Eastern Michigan for a two-day invitational on Dec. 2-3.
