Ashland University junior Grace Reichard and both the Eagle men's and women's swimming and diving teams have earned 2016-17 academic honors from the College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA).

Reichard landed honorable mention laurels on the NCAA Division II Scholar All-America team. Through the 2017 spring semester, she sports a 3.98 cumulative grade-point average in Dietetics.

Earlier in the season, Reichard was named College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-America, At-Large; COSIDA Academic All-District and Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference All-Academic Excellence, and during the season, she earned a "B" cut for Division II nationals in the 50-meter freestyle (23.61 seconds).

This is the second year in a row Reichard has been honored by the CSCAA.

Both the AU women (3.41 cumulative GPA) and men (3.10) were listed as CSCAA Scholar All-American Teams. This is the fifth time since the fall of 2014 that the Eagle women have earned the distinction, and the fourth time since the spring of 2015 that the Ashland men have landed the honor.
