For the men, freshman Dylan Nasser was impressive with three individual event wins. The first came in the 100 back stroke where he finished with a time of 52.85 seconds. Senior Keegan Goeke held down the second spot, exactly two seconds behind. Nasser was also the winner in the 200 backstroke with a time of 1:56.82. He was fastest in the 400 individual medley, touching the pad in 4:10.19.

Senior Ryan Deemer took first place in a pair of distance events, winning the 1000 freestyle with a time of 9:48.40 and the 500 freestyle in 4:45.43.

The final individual win for the men came from senior Christopher Georgiadis, who came in first place in the 200 butterfly with a time of 1:56.63.

The Eagles were second in both relays on Saturday. Nasser, junior Daniel Callis, Goeke and senior Josh Nixon swam the 200 medley relay in 1:36.83. In the 200 freestyle relay, junior Ben Keilholz, Goeke, Nixon and Georgiadis finished in 1:28.55.

On the women's side, senior Grace Reichard won two events. She was the fastest swimmer in the 100 freestyle with a time of 53.19 seconds. She also won the 100 breaststroke, touching the pad in 1:06.75.

Junior Erin Staley was second in the 500 freestyle with a time of 5:23.93.

The Eagles will continue their ramp-up for the GLIAC Championships with their final regular season event of the season on Friday (Jan. 26) at 6 p.m. when they take on Malone and Urbana at Messerly Natatorium. The meet is a make-up of a previously postponed event earlier this month.
