Ashland University sent three swimmers to the Fast Chance Invitational at Kenyon College in Gambier, Ohio on Saturday (Feb. 24) afternoon.
Senior Grace Reichard earned her fourth NCAA "B" cut – this one in the 100 freestyle with a time of 51.11 seconds, which eclipsed the national standard by a full second. She also has provisional marks in the 50 freestyle, 200 freestyle and 200 breaststroke.
Freshman Dylan Nasser swam the 200 IM in 1:51.98 on Saturday, but was not able to improve on the time he reached at the GLIAC Championships last week. Nasser has a "B" cut in the 200 IM and 400 IM.
Junior Daniel Callis attempted to qualify in the 200 breaststroke, but missed the cut with a time of 2:01.50.
The Eagles will find out on March 1 how many of their times will qualify for the national meet, which will be held March 14-17 in Greensboro, N.C.
