Both Ashland University track and field teams moved up a spot in this week's national rankings.
The AU men are third this week and the Ashland women are fifth.
It was also announced this week that Jamie Sindelar is this week's GLIAC women's field athlete of the week. Sindelar competed last week at the Ashland Alumni Open. She was second in the shot put (52-2.75). That's an automatic qualifying mark for the NCAA Championships in May at Grand Valley State.
This week, the Eagles will be at the SPIRE Institute in Geneva, Ohio for the GLIAC Championships. That event will run Wednesday through Friday, Apr. 30-May 2.
