Eagle Men Earn Top Spot In USTFCCCA Poll, Women 10th

Ashland University's men's outdoor track and field team is the No. 1-ranked squad in the country in the Week 5 U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) NCAA Division II National Championship Rankings, released on Tuesday (April 14).

The Eagle men are ranked No. 1 outdoors for the first time since Week 6 of the 2013 season.

In addition, the Eagle women's outdoor track and field is ranked No. 10 in Division II – the first time the AU women have cracked the top 10 outdoors this spring.

Both Ashland squads were ranked 12th in the previous week's poll.

The Eagle men and women have combined for three automatic and 22 provisional efforts for the 2015 NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field Nationals, May 21-23 in Allendale, Mich., heading into action Friday (April 17) and Saturday (April 18) at the Walsh Invitational.
