Eagle Men Second, Women Seventh In Latest D-II Rankings

Ashland University's men's and women's outdoor track and field teams are ranked second and seventh in Division II, respectively, in the Week 6 U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) computer rankings, released on Tuesday (April 21).

The Eagle men were the top-ranked team in the country in Week 5's rankings, but dropped to second after a big push from now-top-ranked Saint Augustine's. This is the first outdoor season in which the AU men have spent two straight weeks in the Top 2 this decade.

The AU women continue their climb up the national rankings with their highest position during this outdoor season. They moved up three spots from No. 10.

Ashland is one of three Division II programs with both teams in the top seven in the country in Week 6.

Ashland University's outdoor track and field teams will play host to their only home meet of the season on Friday (April 24) and Saturday (April 25), the Ashland Alumni Open.
