Eagle Men Second, Women Sixth In D-II Following Open

Ashland University's men's and women's outdoor track and field teams continue to be ranked among the best in Division II coming off strong showings at the 2015 Ashland Alumni Open.

The Week 7 U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) National Team Computer Rankings were released on Tuesday (April 28), and the Eagle men are second and the AU women are sixth in the country.

In the last three weeks, the AU men have been first, fourth and second in Division II – its best three-week stretch this decade. The Ashland women have gone up in the rankings each of the last five weeks.

The AU track program is up to nine automatic and 27 provisional marks for the 2015 NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field Nationals (May 21-23 in Allendale, Mich.).

The Eagle men's and women's outdoor track and field teams will compete at the 2015 Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Championships, Wednesday (April 29) through Friday (May 1) at Hillsdale.
