Comar, Skinner Improve Provisional Times At Hillsdale

Senior Waquiem Comar and freshman Irene Skinner posted improved provisional nationals times during Thursday's (May 7) Hillsdale Last Chance Classic.

Comar shaved 29 one-hundredths of a second off his previous provisional mark in the 400-meter intermediate hurdles, finishing Thursday's race in 52.55 seconds.

Skinner took 10 one-hundredths of a second off her previous provisional effort in the 400-meter dash, crossing the finish line on Thursday in 55.77 seconds.

Freshman Clayton Jury got a jump on "last chance weekend" on Wednesday (May 6) at the Aquinas Twilight Invitational. Jury posted slight improvements on his previous provisional distances in both the men's hammer throw (58.97 meters/193-feet-6) and the men's discus throw (51.07 meters/167-feet-7).

This week is the last week to attempt to gain entry into the 2015 NCAA Division II Championships on May 21-23 in Allendale, Mich.

The next group of meets for Eagle athletes looking to improve or gain entry onto nationals lists will be on Friday (May 8) at Akron's Campbell/Wright Invitational, Grand Valley State's Last Chance Meet, Allegheny's Gator Invitational and the Toledo Invitational.
