AU Indoor Track Boasts Two Autos, 23 Provisionals For Nationals

Through Saturday's (Jan. 23) Tiffin Dragon Open, Ashland University's indoor track and field program has two automatic qualifiers and 23 provisional-qualifying efforts for the 2016 NCAA Division II indoor national championships, March 11-12 in Pittsburg, Kan.

Senior Jamie Sindelar has the best D-II women's shot put distance this season at 16.57 meters/54-feet-4½, just 0.3 meters shy of her all-time best throw, which also is the second-best D-II women's indoor shot put distance all-time.

Junior Jordan Crayon has the second-best men's shot put in Division II in 2015-16 at 21.09 meters/69-feet-2½.

The Eagles will split and go to the Findlay Classic and the Penn Nationals on Friday (Jan. 29) and Saturday (Jan. 30).
