AU Track & Field Up To Three Autos, 31 Provisionals For Nationals

Heading into the 2016 Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Championships on Saturday and Sunday (Feb. 27-28), Ashland University's men's and women's indoor track and field teams have recorded three automatic and 31 provisional marks for the 2016 NCAA Division II indoor national championships, March 11-12 in Pittsburg, Kan.

Ashland's women boast the top two Division II distances in the shot put so far in 2015-16, with senior Jamie Sindelar first at 16.57 meters/54-feet-4½, and junior Megan Tomei second at 16.00 meters/52-feet-6. Junior Jordan Crayon has the second-best men's weight throw distance in the country this season at 21.84 meters/71-feet-8.
