Both of Ashland University's outdoor track and field teams are nationally-ranked in the Week 6 U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field National Team Computer Rankings, released on Tuesday (April 19).
The Eagle men are ranked eighth in the country this week, while the AU women are back in the rankings at No. 25. Ashland's men have been ranked in the Top 10 each of the last four weeks, and in the last 10 outdoor rankings dating back to 2015. Since the start of the 2010 outdoor season, the AU men have been ranked in the Top 25 on 55 occasions, and have been in the Top 10 for 47 weeks.
Ashland's women return to the Top 25 after a week's absence. Since 2010, they have been ranked among the 25 best teams in Division II 53 times.
Ashland's men and women will split up for their next weekend of action, going to both the Jesse Owens Track & Field Classic in Columbus and the Sparky Adams Invitational in Berea on Friday (April 22) and Saturday (April 23).
