AU Earns Division II-High 12 Men’s First-Team All-Americans

Ashland University's men's indoor track and field team, which finished second as a team at NCAA Division II indoor nationals, earned a D-II-high 12 first-team All-American honors from the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) on Monday (March 13).

Sophomore Myles Pringle is one of just two Division II men to earn three first-team All-American honors. He won the 400-meter dash national title with the seventh-fastest time in D-II history (46.39 seconds), and also earned All-American status in the 200 dash and as part of the distance medley relay team.

Senior Nick Hall is an All-American in both the mile run and the DMR, and one first-team honor each was earned by senior Bryn Campbell (weight throw), junior Hunter Heaton (DMR), freshman Alex Hill (weight throw), junior Daniel Roberts (weight throw), sophomore Tyler Sievert (DMR), junior Elijah Talk (shot put) and freshman Nick Zak (weight throw).

Eagle men earning second-team All-American status were senior Jordan Crayon in the weight throw, and senior Columbus Millet, freshman Paul Murray, Pringle and sophomore Devin Snowden in the 4x400 relay.

On the women's side, senior Megan Tomei is a second-team All-American in the weight throw.

Student-athletes earned USTFCCCA first-team All-America honors by virtue of finishing among the Top 8 in their events, including as a member of a relay, at nationals. Those who finished 9-12 earned second-team honors.
