In the final U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) NCAA Division II men's outdoor rankings on Monday (May 22) afternoon prior to the start of the 2017 Championships, Ashland University's men continue to be the No. 1-ranked team in the country.
The top-ranked D-II men's team since the seventh week of rankings outdoors, the Eagles will go into the 2017 NCAA Division II Championships, Thursday-Saturday (May 25-27) at the IMG Academy, with 15 athletes competing in throws, hurdles, distance, sprints, jumps and a relay.
Ashland's men have 170.49 computer points, nearly 11 more than No. 2-ranked Chico State (159.79) and nearly 15 more than No. 3-ranked Lincoln, Mo. (155.72).
This is the seventh time Ashland's men have been the top-ranked D-II team outdoors this decade.
