Ashland University sophomore Myles Pringle was honored on Wednesday (June 21) on the Ohio Senate floor for his two 2017 NCAA Division II national championships.

A resolution honoring Pringle, H.R. No. 161, was passed on Tuesday (June 20) by the Ohio House of Representatives. Pringle was recognized on Wednesday by Ohio Senate president Larry Obhof, and was joined by Ashland assistant coach Ernie Clark and members of Pringle's family.

Pringle won national titles both indoors and outdoors in the men's 400-meter dash in 2017, finishing the indoor race in 46.39 seconds and the outdoor race in 45.77 seconds. He is the only Ashland men's athlete to win a national title in the 400, indoors or outdoors.
