With one regular-season weekend to go, Ashland University's men's indoor track and field team is slotted No. 6 in the latest U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) NCAA Division II rankings, released on Tuesday (Feb. 13) afternoon.

The Eagle men slid two spots in the Week 4 rankings. The AU men were No. 4 last week, and No. 3 in the preseason and each of the first two regular-season rankings of the campaign.

Ashland's men have 10 marks which would qualify for 2018 D-II indoor nationals, March 9-10 at Pittsburg State. Both sophomore Alex Hill (weight throw, 22.10 meters/72-feet-6¼) and junior Myles Pringle (400-meter dash, 46.42 seconds) lead Division II in their respective events, while Pringle is second in the nation in the high jump (2.15 meters/7-feet-0½).

Also in the latest USTFCCCA rankings, Ashland's women placed just outside of the Top 25. The Eagle women were 14th in the country in the first regular-season rankings, and 25th in the 2017-18 preseason rankings.

Ashland's men and women are scheduled to finish the regular season on Friday (Feb. 16) at the Ohio State Open and on Saturday (Feb. 17) at the Kent State Tune-Up. The 2018 Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Championships will be Feb. 24-25 at Grand Valley State.
