Pringle Lands Third GLIAC Weekly Award Of Season

Ashland University junior Myles Pringle has earned his third Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Men's Track Athlete of the Week award of the season.

As announced by the GLIAC on Tuesday (Feb. 20) afternoon, Pringle landed the eighth GLIAC weekly award of his Eagle career. At the Kent State Tune Up on Saturday (Feb. 17), Pringle won three events, broke his own school record in the men's high jump and improved on a previous nationals provisional time in the men's 200-meter dash. He won the high jump at 2.18 meters/7-feet-1¾, which also was an improved automatic qualifying mark for 2018 NCAA Division II indoor nationals, March 9-10 at Pittsburg State.

Pringle also won the 200 dash in 21.37 seconds, and the 400 dash in 47.30 seconds, and was a member of the men's 4x400 relay team which took second in 3:16.55.

Going into the 2018 GLIAC Championships, Saturday (Feb. 24) and Sunday (Feb. 25) at Grand Valley State, Pringle is the D-II leader in the men's 400 (46.42 seconds) and the men's high jump (2.18 meters/7-feet-1¾), is fourth in the country in the men's 200 (21.37 seconds) and is part of the seventh-best men's 4x4 in the nation (3:13.13).
