Fourteen Ashland University men's and women's indoor track and field athletes combined for 19 U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Region honors, as announced by the USTFCCCA on Monday (Feb. 26) afternoon.

Junior Myles Pringle led the Eagle All-Region contingent with four awards, in the 200-meter dash, 400 dash, 4x400 relay and high jump. Freshman Trevor Bassitt is the other AU men's athlete to earn more than one All-Region citation, in the 60 hurdles and the 4x400 relay.

Also garnering All-Region recognition on the men's side were freshman Brenden Archer (4x400 relay), freshman Brent Fairbanks (weight throw), sophomore Alex Hill (weight throw), freshman Channing Phillips (4x400 relay) and senior Elijah Talk (shot put).

Sophomore Paula Wollenslegel is the Ashland women's team's multiple All-Region choice, earning the honor in the high jump and the pentathlon.

Picking up All-Region awards for the AU women were senior Hannah Bartlome (high jump), freshman Gianna DiPippo (weight throw), senior Marie Hammer (pentathlon), junior Natalie Helenthal (weight throw), sophomore Ellie Jindra (high jump) and junior Mackenzie Leigh (weigh throw).

The top five individuals in each event from each region earned All-Region distinction, in addition to each of the members of the regions' top three relay teams. The regions used for this award – Atlantic, Central, East, Midwest, South, South Central, Southeast and West – match those used during the cross country season.
