Ashland University junior Myles Pringle keeps winning national championships and setting new national standards.

Pringle also gained another piece of personal hardware on Wednesday (March 14) morning, as he was named the 2018 U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) NCAA Division II Men's Track Athlete of the Year.

At the 2018 NCAA Division II National Championships in Pittsburg, Kan., Pringle won a national title in the men's 400-meter dash with a time of 45.93 seconds – the fastest men's 400 dash mark in D-II indoor history. Pringle also was second in the men's 200 dash in 20.96 seconds, which is the fifth-fastest D-II indoor time in that event; was the anchor of the men's 4x400 relay which took second in 3:10.44, and was tied for sixth in the men's high jump at 2.08 meters.

Pringle, now a 10-time All-American, joins Drew Windle (2013-14) and Nick Cordes (2003) as Ashland men's indoor track national Athlete of the Year honorees.
