Ashland University's men's and women's outdoor track and field teams just completed Week 1 of the 2018 outdoor season.

But in Week 2 of the 2018 U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) NCAA Division II Outdoor National Championship Rankings, both the Eagle men and women moved well into the Top 25. Ashland's men are at No. 10, while the AU women are at No. 15.

Since the start of the 2010 outdoor season, the Eagle men have been in the top 10 of the USTFCCCA rankings 61 times, while the AU women have been in the top 15 of those rankings 51 times. Ashland's women are in the top 15 outdoors for the first time since the final pre-nationals ranking in 2015.

Through just one outdoor meet this spring, Ashland's men have seven provisional marks, and the Eagle women five, for 2018 NCAA Division II outdoor nationals, May 24-26 in Charlotte, N.C.

Ashland's men's and women will compete at the Wooster Invitational on Friday (March 30) and Saturday (March 31).
