For the fourth time between indoor and outdoor seasons in 2017-18, Ashland University junior Myles Pringle has earned a Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference weekly track and field honor.

On Monday (April 9) afternoon, Pringle was named Week 3 GLIAC outdoor Men's Track Athlete of the Week. He earned the award three times during the 2017-18 indoor season, four times in 2016-17 and once in 2015-16.

At the 39th Sun Angel Track Classic in Tempe, Ariz., on Saturday (April 7), Pringle crossed the finish line in the men's 400-meter dash in 45.57 seconds (fourth place), breaking his own school record by .20 seconds, moving into the No. 1 spot in D-II this season, and automatically qualifying for nationals by .79 seconds.

Pringle also ran in the men's 200 dash on Saturday, finishing second in the primarily-NCAA Division I field at 21.23 seconds. That set a new outdoor PR, and provisionally qualified him for outdoor nationals.

Ashland University's men's and women's outdoor track and field teams will compete on Saturday (April 14) at the Miami (Ohio) Duals.
