The 2018 NCAA Division II outdoor track and field season is quickly winding down, and Ashland University's men's team is working its way up the national rankings.

In the latest U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) rankings, the Eagle men move up five spots to No. 12. Ashland's men have nine marks which would qualify for 2018 NCAA Division II nationals, May 24-26 in Charlotte, N.C., including the No. 1 400-meter dash time in junior Myles Pringle (45.57 seconds), and the No. 2 hammer throw distance in sophomore Alex Hill (64.35 meters/211-feet-1).

Since the start of the 2010 outdoor season, Ashland's men have been in the top 25 of the USTFCCCA rankings 72 times.

Ashland's men and women will compete on Friday and Saturday (April 20-21) at Ohio State's Jesse Owens Track Classic, and Saturday at the Baldwin Wallace Sparky Adams Invitational.
