Pringle Lands Fifth GLIAC Weekly Award Of 2017-18

For the fifth time in 2017-18, and the 10th time in his Eagle career, Ashland University junior Myles Pringle is the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Men's Track Athlete of the Week.

At the ninth Ashland Alumni Open on Saturday (April 28), Pringle won the men's 200-meter dash in 21.34 seconds, the men's high jump at 2.14 meters/7-feet-0¼, and the men's 400 dash in 46.64 seconds, the latter for a new facility record.

The high jump mark moved Pringle into fifth place on the NCAA Division II national list. He is the top-ranked D-II men's 400 dash runner (45.57 seconds), and is tied for 14th in the nation in the men's 200 (21.08 seconds).

Ashland University's men's and women's outdoor track and field teams will play host to the 2018 Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Championships, Wednesday-Friday (May 2-4) at the Dwight Schar Athletic Complex.
