Running on the biggest national stage in outdoor track and field, Ashland University's Myles Pringle finished in eighth place in the men's 400-meter dash finals on Saturday (June 23) night at the 2018 USATF Outdoor Championships.

On the Drake University track, and on a live telecast on NBC, the soon-to-be senior Pringle, who ran in the finals after starting as one of a 26-runner field on Thursday (June 21), crossed the finish line on Saturday in 45.92 seconds.

In his first three years as an Eagle, Pringle is a five-time NCAA Division II national champion (four in the 400 dash, one in the 4x4 relay), and a 14-time D-II All-American. He is the fastest indoor men's 400 dash runner in D-II history (45.93 seconds).

On the fourth and final day of the Championships on Sunday (June 24), at 2:55 p.m., former Eagle standout Katie Nageotte will compete in the women's pole vault.
