As announced by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) on Thursday (July 26) morning, both of Ashland University's track and field programs are 2018 All-Academic Teams, and 15 student-athletes are 2018 All-Academic Individuals.

Ashland's men are the 2018 NCAA Division II USTFCCCA Outdoor Men's Scholar Team of the Year. This is the fourth time the Eagle men have earned this distinction (2009, 2010, 2014 and 2018). In order to be considered for Scholar Team of the Year, a program must finish highly at the national championships meet, and have at least a 3.00 cumulative team grade-point average.

The Eagle women finished with a 3.31 cumulative grade-point average in 2017-18, and the AU men ended at 3.06. This is the 13th consecutive year Ashland's women have earned the All-Academic Team honor, and the 14th time overall, while the Ashland men have garnered the award for the fourth time in five years, and the eighth time overall.
