The July 30 edition of Sports Illustrated is available, and Ashland University track and field fans will find a familiar face on page 27.

Senior-to-be Myles Pringle is in the "Faces in the Crowd" section of the latest SI. During the 2017-18 indoor and outdoor track and field seasons, Pringle won three NCAA Division II national championships (men's 400 dash both indoors and outdoors, men's 4x4 relay outdoors), and earned eight All-American honors. He won four Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference outdoor championships at home (200 dash, 400 dash, 4x400 relay and high jump), and three GLIAC indoor titles (200 dash, 400 dash and 4x400 relay).

Pringle unofficially is the fastest men's 400 dash runner in the history of NCAA Division II indoor competition at 45.93 seconds (unofficial because it came on an oversized track). In his Eagle career, Pringle has a total of five national championships and 14 All-American awards.

This is the second consecutive year an Ashland student-athlete has been in "Faces in the Crowd." Former women's basketball forward Laina Snyder was in the May 1, 2017 edition of SI.

Pringle will compete for Team USA at the 2018 North American, Central American and Caribbean Athletic Association (NACAC) Track & Field Championships in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, in the men's 4x400 relay on Aug. 12 at 3:55 p.m.
