An impressive 2019 for Ashland University track and field will continue later this week at the 2019 USA Track & Field Outdoor Championships, Thursday-Sunday (July 25-28) in Des Moines, Iowa.

Five current and former Eagles will compete at USATF Outdoors – Trevor Bassitt, Myles Pringle, Katie Nageotte, Jordan Crayon and Danny Roberts.

"This is definitely a nice representation," said Ashland head coach Jud Logan.

- Bassitt will compete in the men's 110-meter hurdles and men's 400 hurdles. The 110 hurdles will be Saturday at 3:23 p.m. Eastern (first round), Sunday at 6:28 p.m. Eastern (semifinal) and Sunday at 8:20 p.m. Eastern (finals). The 400 hurdles will be Thursday at 6:57 p.m. Eastern (first round), Friday at 8:28 p.m. Eastern (semifinal) and Saturday at 5:25 p.m. (finals).

Bassitt, who will be a junior in 2019-20, is a two-time NCAA Division II national champion and a five-time D-II All-American.

"I think this is going to be a great experience for Trevor," Logan said. "Obviously, it's been a long season, but he missed a lot of the indoor season with an injury. He's just such a good technician."

- Pringle will compete in the men's 400 dash, which is slated for Thursday at 8:37 p.m. Eastern (first round), Friday at 8:14 p.m. Eastern (semifinal), and Saturday at 5:43 p.m. Eastern (finals).

Pringle recently concluded his AU career with seven national titles and 21 All-American citations.

- Nageotte is tied for the third-best women's pole vault mark in the world in 2019 at 4.82 meters. She will compete on Sunday at 6:10 p.m. Eastern.

Nageotte won two national championships and was a three-time All-American as an Eagle.

- Crayon and Roberts will be in the men's hammer throw on Friday at 5 p.m. Eastern. At Ashland, Crayon won a weight throw national title and was a four-time All-American, and Roberts won a hammer throw national championship and was a three-time All-American.

NBC will have coverage of USATF Outdoors on NBC Sports Gold on Thursday at 3:45 p.m. Eastern, Friday at 1:30 p.m. Eastern, Saturday at 2 p.m. Eastern and Sunday at 4 p.m. Eastern; on NBCSN on Friday from 7-9 p.m. Eastern and Sunday from 7-8 p.m. Eastern; and on NBC on Saturday from 4-6 p.m. Eastern and Sunday from 8-9 p.m. Eastern.

In March in Pittsburg, Kan., and in May in Kingsville, Texas, Ashland's men's track and field team won the NCAA Division II national championship indoors and outdoors, respectively. Ashland became the first Division II men's program to win both national titles in the same year since Saint Augustine's in 2014.

"It's been, obviously, kind of whirlwind," said Logan. "Good things are happening."
