Jacob Sussman is in his third season as Ashland University's head men's and women's cross country coach, and continues as the Eagles' assistant track and field coach (distance)/director of track and field operations.

He is in his fifth season as an AU coach overall.

In each of the last two seasons, Sussman has presided oversaw the improvement of a very young cross country/distance program. The Eagle men were sixth at the 2018 Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference meet, and the AU women were eighth.

Sussman is a 2014 AU graduate. As a collegiate runner, he was a three-time All-American, and was a member of three nationals-qualifying cross country teams.

Sussman earned his degree in Athletic Training from Ashland.
