Ashland University's women's basketball team's annual "Breakfast With The Eagles" will be Oct. 27 from 8-10 a.m. at Kates Gymnasium.

The event is an opportunity for fans to watch practice and meet the players and coaches prior to the start of the 2018-19 season. Donuts, coffee and water will be provided.

"Our Breakfast With The Eagles event is a great way to connect with the community before the season starts," said Ashland head coach Kari Pickens. "It is always a fun, competitive practice, and people have enjoyed getting an inside look on what the upcoming season will look like.

"We hope the gym is packed on October 27th with people of all ages who want to get excited about AUWBB."

Ashland opens the 2018-19 season on Nov. 9 at 5:45 p.m. vs. Cedarville at Ohio Dominican. The Eagles will play an exhibition game on Nov. 4 at 2 p.m. at NCAA Division I Purdue, which will be televised on BTN+.

In 2017-18, Ashland's women were 36-1 overall and 20-0 in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference. The Eagles were the NCAA Division II runner-up, and winners of GLIAC regular-season, GLIAC Tournament and Midwest Regional tournament championships. In the last seven seasons, Ashland has two national titles, two national finalist finishes, and an overall record of 217-24 (.900).
