AU Women Ranked No. 8 In Latest WBCA Coaches’ Poll

Ashland University's women's basketball team is ranked No. 8 in the latest Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) Division II Top 25 Coaches' Poll, released on Tuesday (Dec. 11) afternoon.

The Eagles are 8-1 overall heading into the final three non-conference regular-season games of the 2018-19 season – Monday (Dec. 17) at 5:30 p.m. at Kates Gymnasium vs. Notre Dame College, Dec. 19 at 5 p.m. at Indianapolis, and Dec. 30 at 2 p.m. at Southern Indiana.

In the latest WBCA poll, Ashland received two of 24 first-place votes. The Eagles continue to have the longest active D-II coaches' poll streak of Top 10 placements at 51, and all-time in the coaches' poll – preseason, regular season and postseason – AU has been in the top 25 91 times, and the top 10 75 times.

Joining Ashland in this week's Top 25 poll is fellow GLIAC team Grand Valley State at No. 11.

2018-19 WBCA POLL RANKINGS: No. 2 (preseason and Nov. 20), No. 1 (Nov. 27 and Dec. 4), No. 8 (Dec. 11).
