AU Women Ranked No. 11 In D-II Heading To Michigan

Entering the final quarter of the 2018-19 regular season, Ashland University's women's basketball team is ranked No. 11 in the latest Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) Division II Top 25 Coaches' Poll, released on Tuesday (Feb. 5) afternoon.

The Eagles are 19-2 overall and 11-2 in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference heading into their two GLIAC road games coming up this week – Thursday (Feb. 7) at 5:30 p.m. at Ferris State (11-8, 8-5), and Saturday (Feb. 9) at 1 p.m. at Lake Superior State (6-14, 1-12). The game at the Bulldogs will be broadcast nationally on ESPN3.

All-time in the D-II coaches' poll – preseason, regular season and postseason – Ashland has been in the top 25 on 98 occasions. The Eagles' all-time record as a ranked team in the coaches' poll is 189-14 (.931).

Ashland is one of two GLIAC schools in this week's Top 25, along with No. 13 Grand Valley State.
