AU Women Remain At No. 11 In WBCA Coaches’ Poll

Ashland University's women's basketball team is ranked No. 11 in the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) Division II Top 25 Coaches' Poll for the second consecutive week.

In the latest poll, released on Tuesday (Feb. 12) afternoon, the Eagles stay at No. 11. Ashland is 21-2 overall and 13-2 in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference heading into two games this week at Kates Gymnasium – Thursday (Feb. 14) at 5:30 p.m. vs. Purdue Northwest (3-18, 1-14), and Saturday (Feb. 16) at 1 p.m. vs. Parkside (9-12, 7-8).

All-time in the D-II coaches' poll – preseason, regular season and postseason – the Eagles have been in the top 25 on 99 occasions. The Eagles' all-time record as a ranked team in the coaches' poll is 191-14 (.932).

Ashland is one of two GLIAC teams in this week's poll, along with No. 12 Grand Valley State.

2018-19 WBCA POLL RANKINGS: No. 2 (preseason and Nov. 20), No. 1 (Nov. 27 and Dec. 4), No. 8 (Dec. 11, Dec. 18 and Jan. 2), No. 7 (Jan. 8), No. 6 (Jan. 15), No. 5 (Jan. 22), No. 3 (Jan. 29), No. 11 (Feb. 5 and Feb. 12).
