For the second time in as many seasons, Ashland University junior guard/forward Jodi Johnson has landed a spot on the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-District team in NCAA Division II, District 4.
Going into Thursday's (Feb. 21) Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference game at Northwood at 6 p.m., Johnson ranks first in the league in field-goal percentage (60.2) and steals per game (2.7), second in scoring (18.3 ppg.), third in free-throw percentage (86.8), and 10th in both rebounding (6.9 rpg.) and assists (3.1 apg.). She has been named GLIAC South Division Player of the Week four times in 2018-19.
Johnson sports a 3.85 cumulative grade-point average as a Supply Chain Management major.
She is the fifth Ashland women's basketball player to be named Academic All-District at least twice.
Johnson will advance to the CoSIDA NCAA Division II Academic All-America ballot, and that team will be announced on March 12 at noon.
